Soft, buttery brioche studded with caramelized chunks of Belgian pearl sugar, this waffle is a traditional street food from the city of Liège in the Walloon region of Belgium. These yeast-raised waffles are perfect to eat straight out of the package, or they can be warmed in a toaster oven or microwaved in short (7-9 seconds) intervals until desired temperature. Caution: Pearl sugar can be VERY hot when microwaved. Enjoy them on the go, with a hot beverage, or, for extra decadence, topped with whipped cream, nuts, fruit, syrups, ice cream, etc. Whatever you can think up, be creative!
